PRODUCT - SPOTIFY VS YOUTUBE MUSIC
Spotify or Youtube music? Which one is better? What do you guys think about it? It is impossible for you to say you do not know these two. Anyway, it is all depends on us to decide which one is better, right? Basically, Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming meanwhile Youtube Music is actually a platform where you can watch any videos but it actually started as Youtube Music Key and it has been rebranded to Youtube Music in 2018. So, what is the difference between these two? Youtube Music has a feature where you can skip the ads after it has started for 5 seconds meanwhile on Spotify, you cannot skip the ads and you need to wait for it to be finished. Compared to YouTube Music, Spotify has much more ads and commercial breaks in the free version. You can skip any songs if you are not into the songs that much and it is unlimited but this is for Youtube Music. On Spotify, you can only skip the songs up to 6 songs for an hour. On Youtube Music, you can use playback for both songs and videos meanwhile on Spotify, it only has playback for songs. The audio quality is actually quite different. Youtube Music can up to 256kbps only whereas on Spotify's audio quality can go up to 320kbps. If you subscribe to Spotify Premium Family's plan, you can access Spotify Kids, unlike Youtube Music Family's plan. Even though they are 2 different products, they still have similarities. Both of them are platforms for us to listen to music and they can be listened to even if we are offline. They have full access to the whole content and the songs downloaded while offline too! For me, it makes them more interesting than it is. Whatever it is, everything has its pros and cons and it all depends on the users themselves. In my opinion, Youtube Music is much better than Spotify since I can playback any videos and songs that I wanted and I can skip the ads unlike Spotify but anyway everyone has different opinions. You can give them a try at least once. However, Spotify remains the number 1 streaming studio service with a sizable lead over Youtube Music and other listening platforms such as Apple and Amazon in reported paid subscribers.
