MOVIE REVIEW - THE SEA BEAST (2022)

This week I’ll be reviewing a movie called The Sea Beast. This movie is an animated adventure movie that was released on 15 June 2022. It was directed by Chriss Williams who also produced the movie with his other partner, Jed Schlanger. This movie was about terrifying creatures roaming the seas and the monster hunters are heroes. The villain in this movie was Augustus Crow III or better known as Captain Crow. He is a legendary sea monster hunter and the captain of The Inevitable. From my point of view, the heroes of The Sea Beast Jacob Holland and Maisie crumble because they proved that their belief in the creatures roaming the seas was wrong. Jacob is one of The Inevitable monster hunters. He was found by Captain Crow following a sea beast attack and was taken care of to succeed him in his position as captain. Maisie crumble was a young and fearless orphan girl who is determined to follow in the footsteps of her late parents by exploring the open seas and becoming one of the hunters. But everything changed when they met "Red" and realized that the monster killed the people because they killed them first."Red" or known as Red Bluster is a red sea monster. She has a large horn on her head and yellow eyes. Red was actually a really good monster.
This is currently proven when she helped Maisie and Jacob during the crab monster attack and sent them back to their place.  I liked how the monster had textures and history when you got close to them. I also find it funny when Red does not follow Jacob's instructions as Maisie does. Maisie really did a good job in making interactions with Red. Other than that, there is another creature that makes me giggle throughout this movie, it was Blue. For me, he is the most scene-stealing presence in this film because of his big eyes and bigger mouth. This squishy creature is so adorable and always hungry. Maisie found him when they got stranded on an island where Red brought them during the attack. In my opinion, this movie is worth watching especially with our family as it is suitable for kids and adults. As an adult, I was entertained by plenty of laughs and valuable lessons demonstrated within the plot points. Overall, I gave it 10/10 for impeccable animation and a fun storyline that guarantees its audience a good time.
