MOVIE REVIEW : INCEPTION

 

                                This week I'll review a movie called "inception". Inception is a science fiction action film that was released on 8 July 2010. It was written and directed by Christopher Nolan, who also produced the film with his wife, Emma Thomas. This movie has become Christopher Nolan's #1 movie while also being one of the greatest science fiction action movies ever made. The main character was played by Leonardo Dicaprio as Dom Cobb meanwhile the antagonist was Marion Cotillard who played Dom Cobb's wife, Mal.  Basically, this movie was about dreams and reality. Cobb can steal something that no one else can which is ideas and secrets as he has a unique ability to enter other people's dreams in the subconscious. Ariadne who is played by Elliot Page is one of the most important members of Cobb's team. She was tasked by Cobb to be the team architect who designed each dream layer and creates the maze-like dream layout. Although the job was dangerous, Ariadne was propelled by her intellectual curiosity which made her unable to pull herself away from such a unique opportunity. Her totem was a slightly hollowed-out golden bishop meanwhile Cobb was a spinning top that originally belongs to Mal. A totem is an object that is used by the characters to test if they are in reality or another person's dreams. A kick is one of the

 alternatives that will help them to get out of their dreams as the feeling of falling will make them awake and snaps them out of the dream. Yusuf was part of Cobb's team, he customized the sedative to leave inner ear functions unimpaired so that way however deep the sleep, the sleeper still feels falling and tipping. My favorite scene of the movie is when Ariadne entered Cobb's dream and realizes that the project that Roberts has been working on is about his wife. He builds a prison of memories to lock her in and keep her alive so that they can grow old together. I felt nervous throughout the movie as the theme, the sound, and even the special effect was really good. Shout out to the directors for making such a great movie with great quality. This movie has a lot of actions and violence as it includes guns, blood, fighting, car crashes, and some slightly scary imagery. I would recommend this movie since it is really worth watching especially for someone who loves fiction and mind-blowing things as it was a bit hard to find out what the movie was about in the beginning.
